Don't chase money, chase peace and happiness. Let me explain
We are living in a time of uncertainty, which has caused a lot of undo stress for many of us. This uncertainty, however, should be the reason why you focus on what is best for you and your family by thinking outside of the box. My husband and I sold everything and took a leap of faith to live our lives on our terms. We recently walked away from contract jobs because the positions started to affect our health and disturbed our peace, and without another job lined up we chose our health and peace and we walked away. I tell this story to motivate you to prioritize yourself and your health. If you have always made money and kept a roof over your head then what is your fear? Yes, money is a very important component of living in a capitalist society, but chasing money is not the way to happiness and freedom.
Make the money you have go further by thinking of ways that can make a big impact on your finances. My husband and I sold our home, closed our nonprofitable businesses, and started to work contract positions. I am a Registered Nurse and I took a leap out of my comfort zone and took a contract position at an ambulatory clinic, and even though it was not the best contract I am focusing on the positive. It gave me the motivation I needed to really embrace travel nursing. Working contract jobs gives me the flexibility to focus on my passions without sacrificing my way of life. I understand that this is a privilege, but I encourage each of you to take a look at your life and decide how you can structure your life so that you can live life on your own terms. My journey is not a perfect one and concessions have to be made, but owning my time and freedom is priceless. Start your freedom journey today and start living the life you choose to live.
Stay beautiful
